The Hazel Wood

The Hazel Wood was written by Melissa Albert. This book is about a girl who's mom gets kidnapped by someone from the Hinterland. The Hinterland is a story book filled with creepy stories that come to life. The book takes place in the Hazel Wood. My favorite character is Alice Proserpine. She is the one who's mom gets kidnapped. I like her because she is a strong person who never gives up. The main theme of this book is spooky and creepy. I loved this book, but one thing I didn't like is that this book is a little violent and not for young kids. Overall, I loved this book and totally recommend it to anyone who likes a good scare!
